Constantly craving the salty vibes, but don't live near the ocean? Many of us LOVE the beach and long to be near it, but science says it might not just be a preference. Numerous studies acknowledge that being near the waves has positive calming benefits. Well, if science says....
Thalassophile (noun) : a lover of the sea. someone who loves the sea, ocean.
The benefits of a trip to the beach include :
- stress reduction
- increased vitamin D
- sand is a natural exfoliant
- better sleep
- mind & body relaxation
- lowered depression & mood disorders
- boosted immune system
- skin benefits (always protect your skin though!)
- lung benefits
The list goes on. Just the thought of taking a trip to the beach calms most of us. That feeling when you set foot in the sand after not being to a beach in awhile? Nothing like it.

BRING THE BEACH VIBES HOME
If you're not lucky enough to live near a beach and set foot in the sand most days, we've got a list you'll love. We put together some of our favorite simple tips & treats to bring the waves to your doorstep no matter where you spend most days.
1. WAVE ZEN PLAYLIST
One of the easiest and most calming waves to bring oceanside calmness to your space is to take an at home beach break. Even 5 minutes can rejuvenate your day. We are constantly updating our free WAVE ZEN PLAYLIST, give it a listen when you are craving calm.
2. TINY BANDIT CRYSTAL RITUAL OIL : SEA ELIXIR
We could say that we just apply this when we miss the beach, but that would not be true. 3. OCEAN ART
Bring the ocean to your space by hanging a pic of the waves that inspires you. Hang one in your entry so that it instantly transforms you as you walk in, or place one in your yoga or meditation area. 4. WAVE SOUND MACHINE
Do you love falling asleep to the waves? Drift off to a wave sound bath every night even if you don't hear the waves when you open your windows or doors. A sleep machine is also a fantastic wave to combat insomnia, other sleep issues or noise that is keeping you awake.
