It's a ritual celebrated by so many, a fun way of closing out the past year and kicking off a new one with loved ones. But for some, the buzz of the night is intense....and kicking off 2019 with a hangover isn't appealing. If you're looking to create new traditions and rituals around the new year, we've got a staycation agenda that will send you into 2019 with a massive smile. And hey...if you're all about the traditional NYE scene....plan your staycation for 1st of the year or first week of the new year.

NYE STAYCATION RITUAL
Prep your staycation by grabbing the things you'll need to maximize your R&R on the 31st. Get some healthy recipe planning (bonus points for meatless options!) and grocery shopping done so you don't need to run out of the house day of.
On the day of your staycation, wake up with the natural light of the sun. Prep a pitcher of fruit infused water to keep hydrated with. Throughout your day, take the time to cook healthy, loving meals for yourself as you're hungry. Play music you love. Nap when you need it. Enjoy love, you deserve it.

Align your energy and clear your head to initiate your day with a morning meditation. Clean Your Home
It feels so good to kick off a new year with a clean space. While cleaning and staycation don't normally go hand in hand...the cleaning today is significant to your self care today and well-being in the new year. Allow this cleaning sess to be fun by jamming to great music while you get organized. Put aside items to pass on to loved ones or donate to those in need. Recycle what you can. Re-arrange in a way that feels great. Go a bit more minimal. Surface clean so that your space feels fresh.
Later on, as you write out your dreams or resolutions...keep in mind how great having a clean home feels and incorporate it into your game-plan.
Prep F*ck Ya Jar & 2019 Journal
Grab a mason jar and set it up in a prominent space with some note cards and a pen. Next year, when you're proud of an accomplishment jot it down!

Set Your Dreams/Resolutions/Inspirations
If you love to start your year with some new goals or resolutions, sit with it today. You can get creative by making a list, dream board or hanging stickies around in your home as reminders.

Before turning in for a beautiful and accomplished sleep, end your day with an evening meditation. Just like your morning practice, your evening meditation can be any length that feels good.
